SOURCE: I have A 1985 Pontiac Trans Am with A 5.0L E4ME

You need to hook the vacuum advance for the distributor to the front lower left on the carb. The PCV valve goes in the center bottom front. The dashpot for the choke goes upper left front. The vacuum to the brake booster goes in the lower middle at the rear. If you have a second vacuum pot on the rear on the choke side it needs vacuum from the front. The transmission vacuum usually hooks to the rear on the intake. This is all you need. The rest of the ports on the carb and intake can be plugged. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Where canI get a diagram

Chilton manual, or Howes Manual, they are a bit expensive though...go make friends with a reputable local garage (not dealer) and they might photo copy that page for you...some vehicles have that exact diagram on a sticker under the hood...take a good look around, it may be right by the belt routing diagram on the underside of the hood or on the front support ver the radiator.

1978 Pontiac Transam, wiper motor, wiper switch and transmission all work fine.. can not get the wipers to work, Where are we going wrong. There is power to all 3 sources all wires are working.

Interesting problem! Since you have power to all three, it isn't the fuse. I can't download the diagrams right now, but I think there is a wiper pulse module in the 1978 Pontiac Transam. While it mainly controls the intermitant or delay wiper mode, if it shorted out it could cause nothing to work right. You need to verify that you do have that module first.

Y windsheild wipers don't move. I hear the

Possible stripped gears or the gears are not making contact.  I would replace the wiper motor.  If you can, and I am not sure, you might be able to replace just the gears.  But given how new the car is, I am sure it comes as an "all in one" unit.  It is possible to seatch and see if there is a salvage yard around your area that has one cheap.

You have two problems. The first is the wipers turn off and stay in the upright position and do not close. The motor is fine. There is a steal 'close' tab that has been bent out of position. You just need to push the steal tab back into position. You can use a chisel or screwdriver to pound it back into the 90 degree position.

The windsheild washer motor probably needs to be replaced
