Question about 1999 Ford Taurus
New radiator,heater core,thermostat put in....start engine 15 seconds system is so pressurized and top hose hard ya can't squeeze it...fluid and motor not even warm yet....gauge still on cold.....car has trouble starting because of this problem....pushes out reservoir cap what could it be?????? when you shut it off it really blows out????
I would think you have a badly leaking engine cylinder head gasket. Have a shop test for that.

Problem is most likely the water pump.Have seen several of these doing this on the 5.4L. Impeller fins were damaged on the ones that I have seen.

I believe you have a head gasket blown or a cracked head. When you start it up COLD with the cap off, it would push water out immediately. Fill it with plain water and try this. It might not be a bad idea to perform a pressure test too. Also check for antifreeze in the oil. It will get milky looking and might even be over full. If this happens after warm-up, you may just have a plugged radiator. Have it professionally cleaned. The water pump vanes could also possibly be corroded off and it's not effectively displacing coolant. Hope this helps.

It could be air locked. Feel both your heater hoses, and, with the engine running, loosen the one that's cold, if there is one. If that doesn't help, it is probably your heat control valve that is malfunctioning.
