SOURCE: how to reset airbag for mercedes benz c220 1994

This can not be reset by conventional methods. This must be done through a scan tool. Usually only the dealer scan tool will communicate with the SRS module. If the SRS light is on you have other issues and they must be remedied before the light will go out. There is no way of knowing what the issue is without running codes with the scan tool.

Mercedes engine w203 c220 stops when driving then starts again after fifteen minuites then is ok for over 100 miles of more fuel pipes are still full

There could be just simple debris swishing at bottom of fuel tank that occasionally gets sucked into fuel pump without actually getting in to the system, starving the fuel supply. When the engine is off, the pump stops sucking fuel and the debris is released and just floats away until next time. That may mean flushing out the tank to clear the flotsam.

Car acts like it runs out of gas

Hi: Try changing the fuel filter, Also check the gas tank vent, when it stalls loosen the gas cap and try to start it again it may not be lack of fuel but when you open the cap you are reliving the vacuum from the tank, after you close the cap the vacuum will build again. It can also be the gas cap if it is vented. Good Luck /AL

Just put fuel into car and the gauge is showing empty

Hi It could be the fuel sending unit which is located in the fuel tank, it works with a float inside the tank and a sensor will send the reading with the amount of fuel in the tank to the dash gauge so you can read how much fuel you have.now if the float is burst it will fill with fuel and remains at the bottom of the tank showing empty tank.hope this helps. 1996 mercades c220. Been setting for 1 year. I put in new battery in auto 2 new batteries in key remote. Motor will run with a shot of starting fluid. No fuel to motor. Fuel in tank. Is this a security...

There is a fuel pump relay under the hood on the drivers side. I don't think it is a security problem. Security shuts down the ignition. So it is probably the fuel pump. And the fuel pump is inside the fuel tank.

The gas gauge does not work on my 1995 c220. How do I troubleshoot the problem?

Most likely its the seding unit in the tank. Pull it and move the float to check.

I have a problem with my 1995 Merc c220, the fuel

Modern plastics seem to exude something that collects on all the surfaces inside the instrument clusters of many cars. When it settles on the pointers of instruments like the speedo and fuel gauge it produces the effect you mention, sticking the pointer to the rest stop until the meter has enough oomph to pull it free or you go over a bump.
If you have a good magnifying glass you should be able to see what's creating the problem by looking at the ends of the pointers..Actually, just condensation can do the same thing but it's not so sticky and you'd see a mist in the perspex cover too. Since the speedo and fuel gauge control comes from completely different areas these are the only thing I can think of that may link the two things. A couple of extractor hooks from MB would allow you to pull the instrument assembly from the dash. Disconnect the battery if you go this far as it's so easy to short something behind the instruments. Then it's a question of unclipping the two connectors at the back, pulling the cluster free, and unclipping the perspex cover. The procedure's well covered in the Haynes manual.
