The truck suddenly jerks like the trans is slipping.but no trans codes appear
the check engine light also came on but after cleaning the egr the code cleared and the light went off.

I have the same problem, it started when I had to replace the starter because of the solenoid. The check engine light was on and after we replaced the starter the light went off until I drove it to check the starter out that is when both the Check Engine and Check Transmission Light came back on. The engine ligt stays lit without blinking and the Check Transmission light blinks and the transmission shifts roughly which it did not do until after the starter was replaced because we had to loosen the exhaust manifold and at the end of the catalytic converter to remove the old starter

So you can race the engine in neutral, and no problem with it trying to die? If that's so, I think you need a clutch job. A clutch disc contaminated with oil or grease will cause jerking and slipping.

Have a chevy express diesel 3500 it runs good except it sometimes stall while driving and at certain speeds it jerks every now and again

it sounds like the transmission is slipping. you can try a bottle of lucas transmission slip fix but thats more of a band aid. if any fault codes are present check those, could also be a shift solenoid going bad. make sure fluid is at proper level and see if it looks or smells burnt, good sign of a slipping trans is burnt fluid.

My isuzu trooper slips when i take off from a start

Don't change the trans fluid,it will slip worse. Fluid changes, only replace heat dispersants and corrosive additives and DOES NOT FIX ANYTHING.
If it is slipping and 9 years old,you may have a chance to find any issues and correct it. Visit a trans shop. Most likely, it will need to be rebuilt,as it is near the end of it's first in service use cycle.

Fuel pump is a posibility, but they usualy fail completely rather than work intermidintly. If the engine or trans was changed very recently Maybe a sensor unhooked or un adjusted. Have to scan it with an obdII scanner to check your codes but some of these chryslers had the crankshaft positioning sensor on a kind of slotted adjustable setup running off the torque converter through the transmission bellhousing.
I have put them together before and the car ran with a heavy tic when first started then chugged and died. The scanner told me loss of crank or cam sensor so i new what I messed up right away. Lossened the bolt and backed the sensor off and it ran fine. Of course I dont even know which motor you have, or if it has the adjustable sensor. First thing you need to do is have it scanned.

Isuzi trooper diesel jerking when driving

Hello, it is possible that the pump is going bad but, it sounds more like water in the fuel or a dirty filter or dirty injectors. I would try a fuel additive first to see if that will clear your problem. Let me know if you need any help. Good luck.
