Really depends on if the window is Stuck up or Down. Either way, There is no Easy way to get this done, Just be careful. If the Window is Up it will be Easier, But, Once the Motor is out Don't let the Window Drop!

Can I manually roll up a drivers side power window

Unfortunately ...No
The power windows have a small motor and cables and slides, there are also circuit boards for the switch controls. If you are not mechanically inclined to troubleshoot to find the actual problem you should take it to a shop. Once the switches or electrical are ruled out as the problem, the interior door cover will need to be removed and if you have never done it it is really easy to destroy the clips. The assemblies for the window motors are usually replaced as a whole unit.

I have a 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Limited and the back window is stuck in the down is -17 where I live......The motor is running but maybe window is off the track......Any help would...

You most likely will need to replace the whole track assembly. It is fairly easy to do, however getting to it is the chore. A new assembly runs around $100. The new design is a better design, and it runs quieter.

Rear windows fall down. Power windows do not work. I can hear the motor when I push the up control but the windows don't move.

The drive mechanism is worn out or broken. Some are easy to replace, some are not. They may come as an assembly meaning you have to buy the whole drive, motor and all. Panels can be complicated to remove, and some drilling may be required to remove the old drive assembly.

My personal experience with power windows is this...after our kids grew up and moved out, we stopped having power window problems!! Good Luck!!

04 GMC Envoy XUV midgate window fell won't come back up; motor runs ,window won't move

The same thing happened to my '04 XUV. Discovered broken white nylon/plastic that retains the end of the lift cable. Ordered a new lift gate motor/mechanism assembly ($250) online and replaced it myself. Be sure to buy a new limit switch ($13) also. I did not and regretted it because you must remove the old limit switch from the old motor assembly so you can re-assemble it to the new motor assembly. While removing the old switch from the old assembly, I broke it. Had to then order a new switch. The cost to ship the switch separately was more than the switch. The whole thing did not really take that long and was surprisingly easy. It works great now.

How to remove 1991 subaru window handle knob

There is a clip holding the handle in place. It is just behind the handle and not easy to see.
This video should help, even if the vehicle is different (oh, and it is not a trick or hack as those are overused terms these days):

My drivers side power window just stopped working all other winwow switches work

These motors are famous for going out. However, they can be fixed by someone who knows how to work on them rather than have the whole assembly replaced, which will set you back $250 or so. What usually happens is that the metal piece that goes to the brush assembly needs to be soldered back on, or a new copper piece put there to take its place. It is an easy job to do once the unit is out of the car. The only other problem that it could be is the switch in the door. Eliminate this possiblility by unplugging the switch from the motor and powering the motor with some wires from a 12v power source to see if the motor does, in fact, work. Good luck.

94 altima power window problem

Well, it sounds like the window motor is drawing too much current. The window motor may not be any good. But before condeming motor, grease the window channels with a silicone base spray and make sure window moves up and down easy without much resistanse. If thats ok, then replace the window motor/regulator assembly.

Power window repair

My cable got tangled up and I had to replace the entire window assembly (except the glass). It was pretty easy. You take the door panels off, unplug the motor, support the glass with a prop, take out about 6 screws, and the whole track assembly including the motor came out. I bought the new assembly at Advance Auto for about $92.00. It was already put together too.
