Jack should be either located under hood mounted to fender well or in a side compartment inside of the car behind the rear wheelwell or even under the carpet in the trunk where the spare tire sohuld be located. If it is not in those locations then chances are that someone has removed them from the vehicle

How do I find the jacking points on a 01 caravan?

Do you have the owners manual? If you do it will show you. If not you should use the point on the frame closest to the tire that you are wanting to jack up. If you don`t know where the frame is then ask a friend or your local auto parts store sales person. They should be happy to help out.

Bad upper or lower ball joint. tire vibrates when applying brakes and hear clacking sound when turning left on the passenger side (right)

It sounds more like a brake problem. Put a jack under the lower A frame close to the tire. Jack it up just enough to get the tire of the ground. Wiggle the tire from top to bottom, if it doesn't move then you will need to rebuild the callipers and replace the brake pads. Have you rotors checked. If their not round it could cause alot of these problems.

This is a simple question. I'm trying to fix a friend's tire problem, but I can't determine where the jack should go in order not to damage the body of the car? Thanks

Near the tire where you are going to jack it up, you shoud see a long rail running the length of the van. This is the frame of the van. Along this frame near the tire where yo are going to jack up you will see a jack point. Use a flashlight to locate this. The jack point will be reinfroced and is designed to keep the jack from slipping. Thanks for using Fixya.

Accessing spare tire on 2001 Chevy silverado, 2500HD

These are done with a series of extentions that are part of the jack and "spare tire kit". It goes through the rear bumper and is lowered and raised by turning these poles or extentions. This more than likely has a little cover over the hole nearest the license plate I believe. Let me know if you need anything else.

Sounds like flat tire but not

Have your universal joints and CV joints checked. I had the same problem and the Jeep dealer had it on the lift 4 times before they found it.

Flat tire

Ford's spares are held in place with a cable that's loosened by inserting the jack handle into the cable crank. it's located below the door sill of the rear door. Look for a hole that the jack handle can be inserted and turn counterclockwise. The tire should lower down for you.

How to remove tire from a A6 Quattro 1996?

Tap around the edges of the tire with a rubber mallet. But be sure to have the car jacked up safely and watch yout feet while doing so. It is being held on by rust at this point. This should loosen it up.

Tire Change on 2006 Ford Explorer

Kick the tire. Not only will it make him feel better, but it should come off. The center of the wheel is probably a tight fit where it fits on the 'hub' (where the brakes and wheel bearings are located. Kick the tire near the outer edge, continue all around 'til it comes off. Please let me know how you make out. countrycurt0
