There is a fuel pump cutoff switch but no such thing as a relay, but it only cuts off when you have an accident that exceeds 3 times the force of gravity which is like a 5-7 MPH head on..

Can someone please tell me where the Fuel shut off switch or reset 2002 jeep liberty is located. Thanks

No fuel shut off or reset , Fuel pump relay in the power distribution center under the hood in engine compartment . Also check ASD relay . Also go to you tube an check out how it works . Fuel pump relay is energized by the PCM / ECM - engine computer . The computer will only energize the relay if there is no anti-theft system problem an it receives a good crankshaft position sensor signal . Watch this video on fuel pump circuits . Where is the fuel shut off switch in my 2002 mazda 626

Your vehicle does not have an impact activated fuel shut off switch like the ford vehicles. Power is provided to the fuel pump by the fuel pump relay. Power is provided to the fuel pump relay by the Main relay. Both relays are controlled by the Engine computer or PCM. The PCM can disable the fuel system by not energizing the fuel pump relay if the immobilizer system has been triggered by the use of a non-authorized ignition key being used to start the vehicle. This should also trigger the security light to be flashing on the instrument cluster as well. Look for that rapidly flashing security light to see if this is the problem.

Is there a emergency fuel shut off 1993 dodge stealth car runs for few sec then shuts down i have toggle switch hooked up to fuel line

the car will have an asd relay in the fuse box, (auto shut down relay), but get rid of that toggle switch, if you ever get a fuel leak , or in an accident the fuel pump won't shut off, causing a fire hazard, also nulling your insurance

Fuel shut off switch , where is it

Ford had a shut off switch only. It is a saftey design Fors had for decades and no other Car maker has this option as of yet
Yours will have a fuel pump fuse, a relay to the pump. an oil sensor that is runs the fuel pump only upon starting up the engine and shuts off upon when the engine reaches normal oil pressure. When the sensor shuts off the fuel pump relay takes over until the engine is shut off. When you turn the key to the on position you will hear the fuel pump working inside the fuel tank. No need to turn the key to the start position only to the on position. If the pump is not working you have either a bad fuel pump or a oil pressure sensor. If you do hear it pumping for 5 seconds the engine should fire and die out telling you the relay or pump is bad

Were is the safety shut off switch for the fuel?

There is a relay in the relay bank for the fuel pump shut off/shutdown on the passenger side of the engine compartment. the computer de/energizes the relay to the fuel pump. The relay is identical to 5 or 6 of the other relays in the relay bank. I had a problem where the jeep would stall out without warning or a code. I replaced the shut off or shutodwn relay and problem was solved.

Where is the fuel shut off switch and how do I reset it

Jeep doesn't use fuel shut off switches. The fuel system is computer controlled with relays.

2004 Sunfire Problem starting and shutting down on occasion

I'd want to check voltage and ground for fuel pump relay. The load side of relay is the line with arrowhead, when relay is energized that line with arrowhead moves to other terminal and sends voltage to fuel pump on gray wire. The control side of relay is that coil symbol, it has to have voltage and ground, the voltage comes from pcm, the ground is a chassis ground. The voltage for load side of relay is fuse protected, fp/inj fuse. fuel pump-mo2osvehtzbwzhstuaetpz2s-2-0.jpg

Fuel pump shut off switch

no it doesn't. the fuel pum has a relay that is located in the junction box under the hood if your vehicle is not starting because your not getting fuel check the relay. I use the a/c clutch relay to switch with the fuel pump relay if the vehicle starts just replace the relay if the vehicle doesn't start then you have a bad fuel pump...please rate
