The easiest way to check an alternator is to start the vehicle and make sure that all accsesories are off and dissconnect the positive lead from the battery if engine stays running good alternator if it dies bad alternator

SOURCE: i need to replace the
first remove the negitive battery cable . then remove the belt and elect connections and the bolts and it will come out a auto parts store can check your old one for no charge.

could be your ignition switch, first make sure you have power going from your battery to the starter, check at the starter for 12.5 volts then make sure starter has its ground, if that isnt it test the ignition cause thats probably what it is.

It's preety hard as the dealer has normally factory trained tech who are able to make good diagnosis. I would probably look at the replaced alternators and see what went wrong with them then we can work out what to look for. What are the symptoms to make you replace the alternator?

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I TOOK THE AIR FILTER HOSE OFF THE CARBARATOR AND ADDED CARBARATOR CLEANER. PUT IT BACK ON, AND WORKED. TRY THAT.
