Sounds like the timing chain or belt - remove distributor cap and have someone crank the engine - see if the distributor turns

ok you have to check to see it the rotor is turning - if not it is the timing belt or chain

You will need to figure out if you have spark to the plugs, and if not- if you have voltage to the coil to proceed.

P0306 code on Grand Marquis 2002. Engine start to hesitate when it comes on. Usually when stop at red light for a while. Inyectors, check at lab. nice presure on every cylinder.spark plugs ok and coil pack...

The code P0306 indicates an engine miss on the #6 cylinder (2nd cylinder on the driver side) and in most cases this is caused by a bad spark plug and or spark plug boot. In some rare cases it could be a bad coil. I would start with replacing the spark plug and the boot.

I know you have already replaced the coil pack, but I would be more leaning towards the spark plug and/or boot, as these can fail and cause electronic leakages !!!!!

get back to me and let me know how you go !

How do i plug in the spark plug coils? what order?

If it's the four cyl., the first coil pack bolts over the #2 spark plug. The #2 coil pack wire plugs into #3 spark plug. The number two coil pack bolts directly over the number four spark plug, and the #2 coil pack wire plugs into the #4 plug. The firing order is 1-4-2-3.

Spark plug removal

Use my advice at your own risk. I will not be held responsible for what you do to your vehicle. For Jeep Cherokees with a 4.0 engine; (if you are standing in front of the vehicle looking back at the engine compartment) the spark plugs are on the left side / the same side as your battery. What look like spark plugs on the right side of the engine are actually your fuel injectors. On the exact opposite side of the engine block, all 6 spark plugs are held in place with a long rectangular box (called a coil pack) that has 3 small raised boxes on it. The coil pack is the length of the engine block and about 1 1/2 wide. There are 4 large approx 1/2 bolts that hold this coil pack in place. There is a plug on the back end / closest to the fire wall where you can upplug this coil pack but I couldn't unplug it. Simply, remove the 4 bolts holding the coil pack in place, lift the coil pack away from the engine block and the spark plugs are exposed. The boots that attach to the spark plugs are "fixed" in to the coil pack. Replace your spark plugs some type of using anti-sieze compound, adjust your gap, and torque to 19 lbs. NOTE: use dielectric grease on plug boots and coil pack ends of wires. can also be used on plug in bulbs. The above answer is great but if they are platnum plugs dont bother setting gap because you usually don't get a spec anyways and you do more harm than good. The gap is preset
