If the front or back main crank seal is leaking a lot, then first check the PCV to make sure there is not too much pressure building up. Use thicker oil if an older car. Make sure not gas diluted. But the seals can be replaced. It requires removing the harmonic damper in front, and the transmission for back seal access. So replacing the seal is the last thing you try.
