2000 acura tl ac does not respond to controller

I have replaced the navigation display screen and the controller just below the navigation screen and above the radio and it still will not shut the ac off or change the airflow speed.

Everything is connected correctly. Did not understand the response I got. No help! The airflow does not respond when I change it on the controller and the on and off button does not turn the ac off. Already replaced the navigation screen where some of the control functions are located and also replaced the control panel under the navigation system that controls the temp. degree and the on and off switch. Problem still occurs.

The resister block for the fan went. look under the dash on the duct work near the fan for an electrical fitting that goes into the duct work... should be two or three screws holding it in... remove the part and replace it...... perhaps unhook the battery first.

Hi

Did you checked whether you have replaced the controller with a new one having same parameters . If that is not the case check for faulty connections whether the connections are shortcircuited .
Also check the connections of the controller whether you have connected the +ve & -ve connections in the correct order .

How to convert from navigation to non navigation

Is it the Navigation unit in the trunk that has gone bad? Or has your display unit given up? You can find plenty of Navigation units and display screens on ebay.

If it's just the display you can purchase a replacement screen. Search 2000 acura tl navigation screen or Navigation Display on ebay. you'll find plenty of them there. The real fun is removing your old one, to replace with the new one you bought to fix the problem.

To remove and replace the screen, you need to remove everything below it first. Search youtube videos and you'll find some very detailed instructional videos on how to do it. It's not for the faint of heart, or the mechanically inept...

I've done it, and YES.... you need to removed all of that stuff, in that exact order, in order to be able to get to the two lower bolts that hold the screen in place. There is no short cut.

Helpfull hint... before you install your new replacement screen, be sure and write down the serial number of the unit, which is printed on the back side of the assembly. You just might need it some time in the future (like when you need it to retrieve a code from Acura USA, to make your radio and nav unit work after disconnecting the battery)

If your screen is ok, but your nav unit is broken, you can buy one of those on eBay as well... a lot easier to install... open the trunk, remove two cables, and four screws, and replace.

Acura tl navigation code

You'll have to remove the display and get the serial number off of it, call the dealer and get the code. Easier to register on Acuraowners.com and do it that way.

Does my 2005 acura tl have a built in GPS???

If it does then it should have a screen in the middle of the center console, otherwise you will have your AC controllers there meaning you do not have built in navigation.

Where is the starter on acura tl 2003

hello,

The starter on a 2000 Acura 3.2 TL is located towards the front of the engine compartment on the drivers side below the battery. You might want to make sure you have the anti-theft codes for the radio and navigation system before you disconnect the battery. Check your owners manual there should be a card with the codes or they may be on a label in the glove box or under the ashtray. If not there you can call the dealer they can tell you where they are. I hope this is helpful.

Need code for my acura tl 2000 model

If you mean the RADIO code........
The radio code is printed on a card, that is inserted in a slot at the front of your user's manual.

When you start the car, and the radio says CODE, all you do is key in the code numbers using
the radio presets buttons numbered 1-6 below the display.
