Any repair facility and most auto parts stores will check the alternator at no cost to you. If it checks OK then look for a loose or broken wire. Use a multimeter to check the wires while moving the wire back and forth as sometimes the wire is broken but the insulation is not.

SOURCE: break lights are stuck on, why?

look under the dash and find the break pedal. follow the break pedal arm up under the dash. there should be a small switch that the break pedal arm presses in when you push the pedal. this switch can either be bad or it could be out of adjustment and something near by has moved and it is in a bind to where the switch is pressed in all the time.... has it been running your battery down...?

SOURCE: 2002 merc cougar 2.5 liter has loud whistling

Sounds like a vacuume leak, use some carb cleaner in a spray can and gently spray the engine. When you find the leak the engine will stumble, check in that area for the leak.

I got a 95 merc cougar starts and runs good when driving down the road it will sputter and make a loke a vibration noise the check engine light then begans to flash don't no we're to start

get the OBD I codes read , as could give the sensor/switch at fault , if any , although not as accurate as OBDII , also try a fuel addative , get one that covers the catalytic convertor as well as the valves , injectors etc as just may be a build up of deposits or blockage in injector , keep me posted if you wish

Flooding 94 V6 nissan will not start now, was starting and running ruff?

i would start by replacing the temp sensor and cleaning the plugs the flooding is from the temp sensor when they go out usually fuel just keeps dumping in the cylinders and it most likely wont start because of the plugs being soaked when plugs get soaked they get a black glaze on them and they wont fire untill cleaned

possibilities:

loose belt, if it is worn then it will not keep the battery charged...
loose ground wire or bad ground wire...
possibly bad alternator, not keeping the battery charged enough, that would explain the stalling, and loss of power.. hope this helps you.....

No fuel coming out of fuel pump, replaced w/new pump, now it humms but still too long

There is usually a screen strainer inside fuel tank. This is to pick up big stuff inside tank and keep it from entering fuel lines. If someone was messing with you and dropped like a glove or piece of cloth into the fuel tank it would float around and eventually get caught against the screen and would keep gas from being sucked out of the tank. This is one possibility to consider.
