Question about 1989 Toyota Camry
MY passenger seat belt is not working. It doesn't seem too complex though I need help!
The spring loaded mechanism within the part of the seat belt you click into came loose and it's in pieces. It consists of
1-A plastic cover (2 halves)
2-A orange "PRESS" piece of plastic you press in to open the mechanism to slide in the buckle.
3-a plastic, spring loaded mechanism that is seated inside the metal seat belt casing that attaches to the seat
4-A metal piece that fits into that.
My problem is that this all came out and I'm not sure how to reassemble it.
On top of that it's very difficult to reach this area as it is on the side of the seat next to the center console of the car.
I'm tthinking it might just be better to replace the entire unit but it looks like I'd still have to pull the seat out and I don't know how to do that!
Any suggestions on how to fix it, or who I might have look at this are appreciated. I don't like to have anyone in the car without a seat belt!
