Any hint why my code light came on 2001 Highlander?

Check the vacuum lines on the air box where the air filter is. A leak will cause the computer to misread the problem. On my 2001 Highlander Ltd., the computer code said the #3 oxygen sensor was bad. It wasn't.

Toyota highlander 2001 v6 p1155 code showed up last week, changed front oxygen sensor by myself, reset computer engine light went off everything was fine but after 3 days engine light came back on again....

Maybe you forget to clear the old fault code that in computer control system. If your car supoort OBD-II protocols, the elm327 bluetooth scanner can do it.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON YOU NEED TO GO TO ANY AUTO PARTS STORES THEY WILL CODE SCAN VECHICLE FREE AND SEE WHAT CAUSE CHECK ENGINE TO TURN ON.WHEN CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURN ON YOUR PCM HAS SPOT PROBLEM IN THE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM,COULD HAVE FAULTY SENSOR OR CYLINDER MISFIRE.

Check for AC voltage at injectors. If good, run a compression test. Valve timing may have slipped.

Both of my air fuel sensors are out on my 2001 highlander. the code read-out was P0171, P0174, P1130, and P1150. they are telling me its going to be about $640 to repair it. Is that reasonable?

2001 Toyota Highlander Washer fluid is not coming on front windshield, rear works fine. all hoses are clean.Everything else is working. Thanks, Pero

hi check that the screen jets arnt blocked clean them out with a pin

Engine check warning light

Take the vehicle to your local auto parts store and have them read the check engine light code for you and then you can bring that back here and someone will be able to help you figure out what is going on. There should be a relay. Probably located in the PDU box under the hood. If not the motor might be going bad.

any body bothered to read the fault codes first
just stopping dead can be timing belt failure, crank/cam shaft sensor failure or wire connections failure
