Question about 2006 Kia Spectra EX
Hello. I have a 2006 Kia Cerato. The problem is during driving with headlights on, the lights on instrument panel with the speedometer turn off and on in a split second accompanied by a clicking sound. After this sometimes the speedometer and odometer will stop working and then after approximately 1 hour or so it stars working again after the lights turn off and on again accompanied by that clicking sound. Is it a bad connection somewhere behind the dashboard or maybe a short circuit? I would appreciate any help you can give me! Thank you very much.

Your speed sensor has failed. The vehicles speedometer is not cable controled, it's controled by a sensor in your transmission. It's a easy fix, but the new sensor is about $80 to $100 depending on where you get it.

I would suggest that you check all your fuses first. The tachometer isn't run by a cable, just one wire coming from the distributor
