Question about 1994 Honda Accord
1994 honda accord dx, i recently put a used head on the car. timing belt is timed correctly, the distributor is in correctly. wont idle below 1500 rpm, above 1500 idle acts like the iac valve is bad. moving the distributor doesn't change idle, what's wrong???
Well is the idle air control bad? do you have enough coolant? as this vehicle idle is coolant based as well as throttle body positioning sensor.but you may have a nice vacuum leak too when you replaced you head you may have left some gasket material in between the intake manifold or air plenum causing an incorrect sealing/ leak, and also valve timing needs to be checked may need to relap/regap the best bet is to follow your repair manuals troubleshooting section and the process of elimination good luck!
