Is it possible that a computer problem be the issue with are newly rebuilt transmissiont.

When disconnecting the battery, the computer resets to factory defaults. Once assembled correctly, disconnect one battery terminal, shutting down the electrical and wait a few minutes before reconnecting. This should reset the computer to factory default.

Any idea what's wrong diagnostic shows factory reset fail, as between 92/89

Usually on computer resets with factory specs. If they fail it is because of an internal problem. I work on many computers, mostly cars. When the factory reset fails it is because the computer your trying to reset, has a problem. When I trace it back to a main chip. I throw it away.

How do i reset the computer on a 2003 Ford F150 7700 series

Resetting a computer only resets the KAM (keep alive memory), back to factory defaults. This is what the computer learns from your driving habits. What's the problem? why do you want to reset the computer? If the check engine light is on, it will only go off if the problem was fixed. If you don't have a scanner to turn it off, it will go off after several key on and off's. Again, if the problem was fixed. Just a note, it takes 30 minutes to reset the KAM.

Where is the computer reset button on a 2006 dodge stratus

What computer are you talking about , engine computer. It doesn't matter because there is no reset button. You need a scan tool or disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 or 10 min. Is the vehicle check engine light on , is that what's going on here ? You can try an reset the computer, but if the computer system has a problem it will come back on. An if the light is on you need to have it scanned for codes.

Buick 1991 Regal. It starts fine...idles normallally...but when I start driving, as soon as I come to a stop, it dies.???

First if you did not reset the computer after you replaced the throttle position sensor then do so and if that fixed the problem. If it did not help then replace the coolant temperture sensor and the coolant level sensor then reset the computer. If you replace any sensor you have to reset the computer or the computer will not reconize it as being new and won't reset the perimeters for that sensor.

My speedometer needle is stuck on 30 all the time, whether the car is off or going a different speed. The transmission has been checked to see if that is the problem, which wasn't.

you may need to reset the computer. you'll lose all your pre-programmed radio stations in doing so. to reset the computer, simply disconnect the positive cable on your battery for 10 minutes.your digital speed sensor may need resetting, which by resetting the cars computer should take care of your problem.
