Question about Ford Cars & Trucks
The engine light was on for some time. I took it to AutoZone and it read misfire and ignition coil. The ignition coil was replaced, spark plugs and wires but not at the same time. ignition coil was first, then spark plugs and then last the wires. The wires would only work in two positions for the engine to turn. The car turns on but will not move in forward or reverse and shuts off after a few seconds. The engine shakes very hard and a loud screeching whistling sound comes from the engine.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

well..fuel injection systems are more than the electronic part. I suspect you are dealing with compression or injector fouling issues..

Ignition Coil Pack
Clog or dirty fuel injector
Evap canister purge valve
you have 3 type of engine for your truck
2.3L 4 cylinder
3.0L 6 Cylinder
4.0L 6 Cylinder
need to know that type Engine
The reason why the service light come on because it is a hard code
not a soft code.

I have a 2001 Taurus with a misfire in #2, I've already replaced all the plugs, wires, and the coil. I did a professional fuel injector cleaning at a well-reputable shop, I then had that same shop spend a day and a half to diagnose it, and it turns out that it is a sticking valve in that cylinder causing the misfire, have them test the compression off and running to see if that's the issue.
