The vehicle was brought to my workshop with a seized gearbox, as this is an import vehicle none of my local agents or dealers can assist

You should only use, Honda Automatic Transmission fluid ATF-Z1.

Transmission fluid Dexron III may be used as a temportary replacement only, continued use may affect shift quality and result in noise and vibration.

SOURCE: when pulling away the car jerks on change over.

this sounds like the gearbox is not hearing what the engine is telling it,,,its all through switches,,if one is not working right the gearbox gets lost! and dont know when or what gear to be in

I installed a new air filter in an '02 lincoln ls but the vents are still blowing hot air


if you changed the pollen filter which wouldnt cause the problem in the first place and now you require a workshop manual plan then may i respectfully point out that this type of repair is extremely dangerous if you dont know what your doing and best left to a authorised agent or a least a local garage with a AC re-gassing machine and some idea how to use it to locate faults ,a vehicle this age will lose AC gas over a course of time and require topping up at least every two summers if not every summer as it gets older and this vehicle is 10 yrs old putting it in the dealers terms /BANGER CLASS

i,personally, have NEVER heard of an AUDI defect that cannot be rectified.(are you sure your not buying shares in that dealer.....)take it to a VW dealer (who has the same diagnostic computer)and get a written diagnostics done,then you can see what needs to be done.then decide if its something you can do or they can fix for you...if problem persists,contact AUDI main importers,then AUDI in Germany,they will be very helpfull.

I'm afraid that the warranties provided by Toyota in the U.S. for the 36 month period are limited only to the U.S. according to their website and that the warranty honored depends on the local Toyota dealer.

So, if the local Qatar dealer is saying this, then it probably is something that falls under local policy.

I have a 2001 chrysler town and country and it wont change out of second gear. Just changed the transmission fluid and filter.


Souns like the vehicle is in "limp mode". Needs to be taken to an agent. there is probably something wrong with the gearbox management system or as in my case a faulty solinoid inside the gearbox. If you try to drive too much it will just keep shutting down to prevent further damage

Key wont turn in the ignition


Hi, first try using the key both ways to see if one side is worn out. Then if that does not work, try putting some dry graphite in the lock cyl and wiggling the key. You can also try tapping on the lock cyl with a hammer while working the key to see if you can rattle loose seized tumblers. If none of this works you can get a hold of your local chrysler dealer, and they can cut you a new key by code NOT BY COPYING YOUR OLD WORN OUT KEY using your vehicle vin number. if none of these work you will need to get the lock cyl drilled out (best done by a professional).

You might be better off replacing the entire rear end. Probably could locate one on ebay.

Hi there. Although the Dealer has changed the oil, did they do a 'Stall Test' whilst the gearbox was cold and again when at normal running temperture? If not, that's what they must do firstly. This will identify whether you have a slipping clutch/s. The Honda autobox also includes what is known as accumulators - these control how each clutch is engaged during acceleration. For example, if you are accelerating slighly/smoothly, you want each gear to be engaged gently and smoothly, whereas, when accelerating hard, you need the gear engaged quickly and hard to aviod clutch slippage. Thus, the fact that you are experiencing a hard engagement might mean that an accumulator/s is seized. If that's the case, it will mean that the autobox will need stripping, cleaning and be checked for worn components. Hope this helps, Scottech.
