Question about 2004 Volkswagen Jetta
I am writing about my drivers side window in my 2004 Jetta wagon it has fallen out and I have the entire window in tact. Prior to falling out, when I pushed the button to roll down the window it was buzzing but not moving, so it seemed to be unseated from the track.
I went to bring it in and they want to charge me more than I cn afford 175 for re installing the window. So I want to do it but was wondering how to take the door panel off so that I can access it.
1. which tool? I saw the two bolts on the bottom of the door?
2.) any other things I should look out for?
I have worked with a Subaru replacing the door and window so I am generally familiar with the procedure.
If its electric windows ! remove the end panal round the switches to get to the srews behind there,a small screw in the end nearest the dash ,small screws in bottom of card ,pop the door panel off,you will see 2 plastic rubber bungs, take those out and put your switches back onto the loom, move the regulator to where the bungs have been removed, slacken the 2 10mm bolts, slide your window back in and tighten them up,refit parts removed..
