SOURCE: Rear Hatch Won't Release

The hatch is probably "jammed".
Has the hatch opened by itself while you are driving? That is a symptom....
Using a second person/helper, press the "open" button while you pull hard to pop it open.
If it opens, then the lock mechanism needs adjusting and tightening. There are two bolts that hold the catch hook. Once you adjust the catch, be sure to "open" the latch before you close the hatch. (rhyme not on purpose)...

Hope this helps!

SOURCE: The passenger door lock does not respond to the

Most likely either the lock actuator or the lock position sensor have failed. The door will needt o be disassembled for inspection unless you have access to a scantool capable of showing you door lock datastream to indicate if the lock sensor is showing neutral position. If the sensor indicates a key is inserted and turned(Even if its not true), the actuator for that door is disabled. a worn lock mechanism, loose wiring, or defectiev sensor could cause this. More often the actuator fails. This is the solenoid component that physically moves the lock from loced to unlock when commanded. They fail commonly on most vehicles, and can be replaced at most repair facilities.

Replacing water pump

This is for the 3.9 v6 you did not specify motor size.
Hope this helps, it it does please leave feedback Thank You and Good Luck

The water pump can be removed and installed without discharging the air conditioning system (if equipped).
  1. Disconnect battery negative cable.
  2. Drain cooling system.
  3. Do not waste reusable coolant. If solution is clean, drain coolant into a clean container for reuse.
WARNING: CONSTANT TENSION HOSE CLAMPS ARE USED ON MOST COOLING SYSTEM HOSES. WHEN REMOVING OR INSTALLING, USE ONLY TOOLS DESIGNED FOR SERVICING THIS TYPE OF CLAMP, SUCH AS SPECIAL CLAMP TOOL (NUMBER 6094). SNAP-ON CLAMP TOOL (NUMBER HPC-20) MAY BE USED FOR LARGER CLAMPS. ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES WHEN SERVICING CONSTANT TENSION CLAMPS.

CAUTION: A number or letter is stamped into the tongue of constant tension clamps. If replacement is necessary, use only an original equipment clamp with matching number or letter.

  1. Remove upper radiator hose clamp and hose at radiator.
Fan Blade And Viscous Fan Drive-3.9L/5.2L/5.9L Engines 81898572

  1. The thermal viscous fan drive is attached (threaded) to the water pump hub shaft. Remove fan/viscous fan drive assembly from water pump by turning mounting nut counterclockwise as viewed from front. Threads on viscous fan drive are RIGHT HAND. A Snap-On 36 MM Fan Wrench (number SP346 from Snap-On Cummins Diesel Tool Set number 2017DSP) can be used. Place a bar or screwdriver between water pump pulley bolts to prevent pulley from rotating. Do not attempt to remove fan/viscous fan drive assembly from vehicle at this time.
  2. If water pump is being replaced, do not unbolt fan blade assembly from thermal viscous fan drive.
  3. Remove fan shroud attaching hardware (two bolts at bottom-two clips at top).
  4. Remove fan shroud and fan blade/viscous fan drive assembly from vehicle as a complete unit.
  5. After removing fan blade/viscous fan drive assembly, do not place thermal viscous fan drive in horizontal position. If stored horizontally, silicone fluid in viscous fan drive could drain into its bearing assembly and contaminate lubricant.
  6. Do not remove water pump pulley bolts at this time.
Automatic Belt Tensioner Assembly-3.9L/5.2L/5.9L Engines 81898573

  1. Remove accessory drive belt as follows: The drive belt is equipped with a spring loaded automatic tensioner. Relax tension from belt by rotating tensioner clockwise (as viewed from front). When all belt tension has been relaxed, remove accessory drive belt.
  2. Remove four water pump pulley-to-water pump hub bolts and remove pulley from vehicle.
  3. Remove lower radiator hose clamp and remove lower hose at water pump.
  4. Remove heater hose clamp and heater hose from heater hose coolant return tube.

Side mini door wont open on my 99 f-150

The plastic ends of the cables that are fixed so the inner cable moves freely to pull the locking mechanism desintegrated causing it to be inoperative. The cables are not sold alone. You have to buy the whole door locking mechanism to fix the problem. However, here is an idea. Take two small pieces of wood and hold them together with a C-clamp. Then take a rotary tool and carve a groove, wider than the cable cover, at the woods' joints to place later the cable end into the groove. Drill a small hole at the wooden side to let the inner cable come through it on the side, while the cable cover sits inside the carved groove. Place a small nail to hold the cable in place. Prior to place the cable in place, take a candle and spread a film of resin inside the carved groove. Put a small amount of grease where the inner cable enters the cable cover to prevent the cables to be glued. Pour epoxy inside the groove with the cable inside as explained. The epoxy must cover the cable. Let it harden. Remove the C-clamp. Using the rotary tool, carve a slot at the epoxy end where the cable comes outside, to place it in its site where the original broken plastic was located to do its job holding the cable. Now the door mechanism will perfectly work without having to buy the whole door lock array. Use West System epoxy. chevarotox@yahoo.com is my email if you want to see photos of the process. It saved $350. bucks for me and the doors are working good.

Drivers side winsow will only go up to about three quarters shut.

Nope, it's a resistance problem - when the motor from the window encounters abnormal resistance/effort the safety mechanism thinks that something was caught between the frame and window so it automatically lowers it.
Check the seals for dirt or the mechanism for rust.

My locked door won't open

I have a 2005 Xterra and the same thing started happening to me on an intermitent basis. The dealership eventually replaced the guts of the door release equipment under warrenty but that was after 3 trips to the dealership.
Now my rear hatch won't open. My theory is that after an total repaint (hail) in the summer of 2006 the body shop made something out of wack with these door mechanisms.
