I have a 2006 Equinox also. Everything seems to be working except there is no heat. Took it to a mechanic and he told me it would cost arount $700.00. Needless to say I brought it back home to try and decide what I'm going to do. My 3 year 36,000 mile warranty has expired due to my having 40,000 miles on my vehicle. It is sad that a car which still looks like new and is in great mechanical shape and has low miles on it that GM doesn't back their so called great products. They brag about how hardly anything goes wrong. But when it does it's very costly. I wish someone could help me solve this problem.

    sincerely,

    Very Dissappointed Customer

Take it to the dealer as it electronically controlled instead of manually like the old days the dealer has the tools to diagnose its gonna hurt your wallet but they are usually the only ones around who have the technology available... if its a fan check all your fuses and if it still isn't working believe it or not a good whack with a hammer to the end of the fan housing usually breaks the corrosion and the fan starts to work you may need to really wack it for this to work good luck

I have 2006 chevy equinox code po455 I change the fuel cap and the purge evap valve but my code comes back what else could it be?

As you know one of the problems can be the Fuel Cap. I make this suggestion. If you changed your Fuel Cap before the Purge Valve double check that the cap used was an OEM (Original) Chevy Part for that specific vehicle, not just any cap from another Chevy.

Overheating

Did you replace the thermostat as well? That could be your problem. Also make sure your radiator and reservoir are full.

I need to replace a chevy equinox blower motor and resistor wiring harness and I can't find one and I need help with the replacement

I assume you already tried to buy the part through GM Parts or a dealership but as far as helping out with the replacement I would suggest Alldatadiy.com. I subscribed to a 5-year subscription for the Chevy Equinox manual for $30 as apposed to several hundred for the actual shop book. It has helped me out a lot with my replacements.

Would A 2006 Chevy Equinox with just 40,000 miles

Possibly. It depends on what the climate is like where you live. For instance, if you live in an area where the summer climate hits 110 (i.e. Phoenix), then your vehicle will need to be serviced more regularly. Best recommendation, take your vehicle to AutoZone, Checkers, O'Reillys, etc. for a free diagnostic check.

2006 Chevy Equinox a/c works great but no heat what so ever ?????

If the blower is blowing air just fine, but you cannot control the temperature, you need to listen to air coming from the vents while turning the temperature from hot to cold. If you do n ot hear any change in airflow, then you may a temperature door in the dash broken. this is becoming a common problem on the Equinox
