Question about 2004 BMW 5 Series
At times, I cannot start the engine. I have to continually mess with it and eventually it will start. Frustrating.

i would not interchange parts.it best to replace original parts.dont matter if coils look the same.still buy the original coils.2003 to 2008 is a 3 year difference.

starter motor solenoid problem by the sounds of it, check the connections are clean and secure, give it a tap with a soft head mallet or hammer handle. If it doesn't spring back into life it will need replacing.

dont try to do it on your own u need to order the new cylinder from the dealer only i had a place called auto lab fix it for 150
