Had a big problem with misfire on my hyundai accent. Different codes, none of them pointed to specific problem. Turned out it was a bad ignition coil.

When i turn it on on a really cold day at first some times it makes a clicking sound and wont start then after i get it to start it misfiring then the check engine will come on and start flashing i let it...

I would definitely scan the computer for the codes that are stored when the check engine light comes on and it misfires. One should know which cylinders are misfiring which could indicate a bad spark or bad fuel delivery to a particular cylinder or cylinders.

Then, if it is a random misfire, it may be a bad O2 sensor that is causing the problem.

The clicking sound when it won't start has to do with the battery or the starter not getting enough current from the battery. A new battery may be recommended after 3 years of service on average, I learned at Sears. Probably the starter is ok but I wouldn't rule it out as something that could be changed if a new battery is installed and it still does it.

My rover 45 wont start when i turn the key it makes a screaching noise and wont fire up / petro /51 /52 plate

It is possible that this Range Rover is misfiring and needs a change of sparkplugs if it is screatching it is trying to start but cannot due to misfiring. If the plugs are good check the gapping on each pluf.

Hold light flashing and car wont start

I had a similar problem with the hold light ( i believe that problem is a separate problem from your cylinder misfiring). There is a sensor near or on the tranny that was bad. But, perhaps that sensor being messed up is causing the car to think it is in a different gear and causing the misfire?

2000 elantra misfire code and slow

The first thing you should do is check the voltage to the coil. the voltage should be around 12 or 13. If their is then the coil could be bad. Buying new spark plugs and wires would not hurt. Try replaceing them first, then the coil.

Please let me know if your problems presist.

Thanks, Charlie

Misfire at cruising speeds

buy some gas line antifreeze and try that as it could possibly be water in the fuel... not expensive to try and if i'm correct will save you alot of money in replaced parts. add two now and one each time you fill up.
