Have you changed the fuel filter? or is it marking misfire?

Sorry for the delay in replying. The fuel filter has been changed. I have had the ECU checked and it is all good. The throtle body has been replaced and it seems toi have solved it , but I just noticed it has a slight cough at low gear acceleration, like 3 gear at 40kmh. I also noticed it does it at idle when the AC is on and it is like a miss. the idle feels like a thud thud and then the idle is normal. I am not certain. I think I will need to go through all I have done to date and see what other areas need to be looked at. Oh all injectors have been cleaned and checked..

I am also running 98 octane fuel.

SOURCE: 4 cyl Engine starts and idles ok...give it throttle and it dies

I need to get a clear mental picture of what exactly is happening.

With this said, you stated that the car "runs fine" until warmed up.

Q: When you start the car when cold it idles fine?
Q: If you allow the car to idle until "fully" warmed does the car stall?
Q: As the car begins to warm up, Does the RPM fluctuate abnormally?
Q: Does the car Only stall when you press on the gas pedal or does it stall just sitting and idling in addition to pressing the gas pedal?
Q: If you can drive it while cold does the car stall during acceleration when warm or only at Stop Signs / Lights?
Q: If you wait 20min or so, can you start the car again?
Q: How many miles are on the car?

1989 Chevy Blazer 2 yr old fuel pump new in line fuel filter runs then dies when putting in gear then starts back up?

If you are saying, the truck is at idle, then you select drive and the engine slows/almost dies then picks up engine speed back to correct speed, then you most likely have a slow/defective/gummy IAC ( idle air control ).A replacement may be necessary but I would clean it first. It is found on the side of the fuel injection housing. After removal and cleaning or replacement it may have to learn a new position for correct air flow and that may take a minute or two with you sitting stopped with the truck in drive.

Car starts running rough at idle, eventually quits running. Has new plugs, wires, cap, fuel pump, fuel filter, air filter, IAC Valve, and gas cap.

Back then, Honda suggested timing belt replacement every 60,000 miles. If your Honda has that much mileage or more and has never had the belt replaced, now may be the time.

My 2003 rodeo sometimes will idle erradicly and stall is this a computer issue or just dirty petrol

I have reviewed your problem and have the fallowing for you to aces.
I have had 2- Rodeo's first was a 4 cylinder, and the one I am driving now is a 4 wheel drive 6 cylinder.
Both have given me problems with engine stalling and rough idling.
I have also found problems with the check engine light.

Things I have found to cure problems.
First, after 75 or 80K, you will need to change and service several things.
(1) EGR sensor, this unit sits to the rear left side of engine and will greatly contribute to poor idling and a computer, check engine light from time to time. This unit cost about $95.00 and autozone will warranty for life. The unit is easy to remove and replace, it has 2- bolts and a 4 or 6 wire plastic connector on it top.
(2) You fuel filter, this unit is located under the drivers side door and is also easy to remove and replace. Cost about $15.00.
(3) Last, fuel pump, now my last Rodeo had bad fuel and I had to replace the pump and that is a job and a half.
The fuel pump is located in the fuel tank and the tank will have to be dropped, to replace it.
I was able to pick up a used pump at a local junk yard, because of the price and availability. You may have to buy from dealer.
Hope this information has been of good help to you.
Have fun. P.S. My first Rodeo blew up after 227K and the one I am driving now has over 140K.

My 99 Honda Accord keeps stalling after warmed up and relay for fuel pump starts clicking rapidly, what could cause this?

Low / uneven idle problem can cause by a lot of components.

Dirty air filter

Dirty injectors + o-rings

Vacuum leak at intake manifold and vacuum hose.

Bad Idle Air Control Motor (IAC)

Low compression (170 psi + is OK)

Start cleaning and repair these trouble spots and see is there any improvement.

====

For more advance DIY'er then you may try this.

Use a can of Berryman carburetor clean to locate the vacuum leak.

SEE SAMPLE PICTURE HERE

This is a 20-30 minutes job.

Vacuum leaks can occur in following locations.

Intake manifold AND/OR vacuum lines.

Intake manifold is not accessible unless the engine head if off.

You can still check the potential leak by spraying some Berryman near the intake manifold.

Listen for rpm increase after you introduce the Berryman (FUEL) at idle.

Do the same starting from the brake booster unit (the round unit) on the drive side fire all.

Carefully listen for increase of RPM right after to spray the Berryman to the potential vacuum spot.

Get a friend to HEAR the ROM increase or monitor for RPM on the tech.

DO NOT AIM the Berryman into any heat source.

1997 Camry - Possible Fuel Pump??

this is a dirty idle air control valve, clean it using the following procedure.
Here is the common cause of surges, stalls at stops, slow idle speed, erratic idle speed, rough idle and engine hesitation (and other problems), it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake

1994 gmc safair 4.3 wont run at idle and bad enough at high rpm you can't drive it. replaced plugs,wires,cap.roter,o2 sensor, used throttle body, used computer, new fuel pump, new fuel filter, can't figure it...

Is the "service engine" light on at all?
If so, what codes are present.
Have you checked the EGR valve. If the valve is stuck, the engine will idle very poorly. You can remove it and clean the carbon deposites and make sure it moves freely.
The EVAP purge solenoid will also cause an idle problem but should show up as a service engine light problem.
Let me know.
