My monte carlo 2003 does not have taillights everything works except taillights and dash lights

I had the same exact problem on mine, I have a 1999 monte carlo, I fixed mine, what the problem was, is on the drivers side right by the battery, there is a fuse box that has the fuses and relays for ABS and parking lights, that box gets VERY corroded from being so close to the battery, so I took all the fuses out and cleaned it with electronics cleaner and put them all back in, and now everything works, I hope that helps!

Just replace the flasher. you can find it under the dash on the drivers side... Just turn the key on and turn the signal light to one side or the other and follow the clicking noise.

check switch connections and wiring

I would start by checking the headlight switch on the dash. You can brighten and dim the lights on the dash with a switch. Usually when just the dash lights go out then it is this switch.

I just fixed the ones on my honda. The bulbs can either be burnt out or a bad connection with the bulb housing and back of instrument cluster. Take the instrument cluster out and check them out.

if your DRL lights work at night then turn the headlight switch on if the headlights and tail lights work then there is a problem with the twilight sensor

the license plate light comes on whenever you turn your parking lights or headlights on.
