1996 cavalier has no fire and on interior fuse panel somefuses have good voltage and some dont...car ran ok but when was turned off and let sit over nite now it wont start back


Some fuses are only hot when the ignition is turned to run and some are always hot and other are hot only when the fused part is turned on. so that is not your problem

01 cavalier with 2200 sfi engine ran hot and will turn over but wont start. have changed the plugs plug wires thermostat and coolant sensor. checked the compression fuel pump spark from plugs no prob


Ran Hot? Did it boil?
If so I would check the oil if it is a creamy texture then unfortunately
you have a blown head gasket or a cracked head.Sorry

2002 chevy cavalier ran hot, cut off, now it cranks over but wont start. what's most likely cause?


head gasket or cracked head (:-() is most likely, but you could be lucky. Take a few plugs out to see if they have coolant on them. Also look for coolant in the oil and vice versa.

The best thing is to take it to a parts store and have them check the codes. Im sure the check engine lite is on.But sounds like it might be choking itself to much.

Wow, thats a tough one! Even after the cars been hot, it should start a couple hours later...if not...my guess is you've got the car knocked out of "time" somehow. Time to take it to the mechanic :O(

turn on swtich and listen for the fuel pump running
it should run for about 5 sec if you cant hear it its bad
