Question about 2001 Honda Odyssey

How do I replace the gate taillight and lens on a 2001 Odyssey?

The light works fine but the lens is broken. How do I go about changing the lens? I have ordered "the part" from the dealer which I believe includes the entire unit but all I really need is the lens.

Its all one assembly. The lens is part of a total taillight housing that does not come apart. Look for the replacement procedure on this site.

Where is the Ground wire that comes off the rear tail lights harness? its a 2001 Durango

Look for how to "change bulbs" probably in the User's manual.
No manual? try:
Once you have access to the change bulb area, usually on the back side of the taillight assembly, you should see what looks like a printed circuit "film". There should be a single wire (not part of the light connection wires). That single wire or a broken off connection to it is the ground. Follow the wire to a connection point on the body metal attached by a sheet metal screw, or equivalent. The ground wire is usually not more than 12". If the wire is missing, a substitute is needed. You may need to look at the other side to see how it is connected.

How do I change the brake light bulb in my 2004 Honda odyssey

One comment - having just replaced a bulb. After you remove the two screws - the assemby will be loose, but doesn't just slide back. There is a plastic pressure fitting that will hold the assembly in place. Applying force to pull the assembly out caused me to crack the plastic panel where the two screws go. So don't do that! I found that applying a bit of pressure - via a flat tip screwdriver - between the assembly and the car body "popped" the plastic pressure fitting and allowed me to change the bulb. I was applying pressure to drive the assembly toward the rear of the car(and slightly up). Reassembly was just a matter of 1) gluing the cracked plastic back in place 2) aligning the white plastic pressure fitting into its receiver and 3) replacing the screws and covers. Hope this was helpful

Rear tail lights do not work. It is a 2003 Honda Odyssey and the bulbs do not seem to be burned out. I cannot find the correct fuse to check and the sales person at the auto parts store seems to think it...

do the btrake lights work? if they do but the taillights dont work, its most likely a fuse
call a dealer and they can tell you which fuse it is.

Broken headlights, horn, and cruise control.

I know it sounds daft, but have the bulbs you changed got the same contact formation as the ones you took out, if not it is possable they are now causing a short circuit.

Changing brake light for 2000 Honda Odyssey

I believe that light is accessed through the inside of the trunk.Remove the carpet from the back of the light housing & you will most likely find a bunch of plastic wing nuts that hold the taillight assembly on,remove them & push the housing out carefully, then the light bulb just twists out.
