I have never seen a trans with 205,000 miles on it,
& I once owned a trans repair shop
So pull it out & have it rebuilt
Fluid is changed to replace it's ability to
remove heat, no other reason

Its under the oil pan This dosn't sound good how bad is the pan dented and dose it leak now because there are also pressure sensors and tempature sensors and there vary complicated to work on. I would look for a part on the side of the ****** called the interlock switch its hooked to the shift lever on the coloum and moves with the lever. It tells the computer what mode the transsmition is in. And its made out of plastic kind of looks like an VCR tape in size and unless the oil pan is vary badly dented and distorted i would say this is more then likely your problem and its a lot easyer and less expensive to fix but would render the transmission inopperable
