Have someones with a scanner pull the codes from the PCM, this is why the engine light is on,it flashes because you have not fixed the problem. Get the codes and get back to me we'll go from there Thanks Ray PS Advance auto should have done this for free!!!!!!!!!!

There is no dedicated cam sensor on these devices. The cam position is sensed by the electronics in the distributor.

The firing order is 1-3-4-2 and the number 1 terminal on the cap is on the bottom left when viewing the cap from the passenger side when it is mounted on the distributor.

1999 Honda CRV A/C


The compressor is supposed to cycle on and off. The idle problem may not be the compressor but the solenoid that controls the idle when the compressor is engaged. A bad clutch would present in different ways, i.e. metallic scraping noise. I doubt at this point you are damaging the system by running the a/c.
