There is a TSB for this problem. #2500102A which is Case NHTSA 10006129.

It is a malfunctioning indicator light and is shown on Aboutautomobile.com when you toggle through the links.

The fix for this should be in the TSB. Please rate my solution.

Check your gas cap, make sure it's tight or replace it. If after a new cap your light is still on, you should have a smoke test done on the EVAP system to find the leak. Filler neck's tend to crack, very hard to diagnose without a smoke test.

When i make a complete stop the cart takes a while to accelerate?

Millions of cars have that issue

The Evap System, will most easily be diagnosed &
your Gross Leak resolved,if you have a repair shop
with an EVAP Smoke Machine put on that system

The Gas Cap would be a PO442 (small leak) The way you
remember is, from the Hurst Olds 442, from the 1960's

The smoke test will blow some out the place of the leak,
like a rotted hose or broken evap valve.

Slow Acceleration---you work on after all check light issues
are resolved such as the evap leak.

Code po442 Evaporative emission control system leak detected.(small leak) How do I find the leak. Thank You, Jay...

You can inspect the hoses on the EVAP system for cracks or broken connections, but a smoke test that fills the system with actual smoke is the correct way to check for a leak. The leak can be as small as .040 inches.

How to fix code po455 and po442 on chrysler voyager 2002 ?

Hello and welcome. these codes are for a evap system leak, could be a gas cap, vent valve, purge valve, tank seal leaking, or any one of the fuel fuel vapor leaking. the only way to know for sure what part needs replaced is to have the system smoke tested with a evap test station.

Evaporative emissions control leak code po442

Those kind of leaks are really hard to find. The best way is a smoke test. Call around to find out who does smoke tests on emissions.
They just inject smoke into the emissions system, and wherever the smoke leaks out, is where the leak is.

Troubleshooting code PO442 check engine light on. When I put in gas, gas nozzle keeps cutting off like tank is full

The code PO442 is a small leak somewhere in the evaporative emissions control system, the best way to find that is to take to a shop that does smoke tests for emissions.
As far as the nozzle, try changing the position of it the next time you get gas.
