The most common issue is the fan relay is NG or a bad AC/ heater switch (if we are talking about the AC/heater fan.

Sounds like someone needs to do some more troubleshooting first. Changing the cluster is not a simple matter since your mileage will be different. And the cluster is on a different circuit that the ac so one should not affect the other.

I will assume the heater fan also doesn't work on low. You will need to replace the fan speed selector switch

My 2006 impala when it runs less that 5 min the temp gauge goes tohalf way ... and the heater blows cold while idle even after true warm up time... what is wrong


check the water level in the radiator to see if it is full, if not fill it, if it is still not function move the heat ac controller does if feel normal? if it does then you have a heater control vale not working. let me know if you need more help.

Ac/heater fan switch problem on a 2006 jeep commander


next to the fan motor there should be a connector that has three or four wires that attached to the blower resistor. it should have two screws holding it to heater case, just pull it out and replace.
