It is the service light informing you that the car is due for a service. any respectable garage will be able to reset it once you have it serviced.

I just bought a VW 1.4 Polo,when I start it comes 'service INSP,' after about 4 km it show just 'service'. Its moving fine but this message is worrying me, what should I do, ignore it or it...

The "INSP" message becomes flashing on the dash after 15000 km or after 1 year, depending which one occuring first. Therefore it's very probable that one year had passed, or 15000 km. Service due!

Service reset

tdisline_758.jpg

1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Press and hold the reset button [1] (see the above picture).
3. Turn the ignition ON.
4. "SERVICE" appears on the display.
5. Release the button [1].
6. Turn the button to the right.
7. The service indicator shows: "---".
8. Turn the ignition OFF.
9. The system is reset.

Hi. My VW polo from 98, open air model is showing me at the panel, where are kilometers INSP. Is it something serious? What should i do?? I have another 1300 km to make to the next servis. Please help

It is just due for a service, if it has been serviced recently it could have been that it was serviced slightly before its due time and the display noew needs to be reset. if you want to know how to do it yourself mail me on ella.kenneth@gmail.com its really basic and easy.

Insp

insp =inspection service due now
service codes are:-
insp=inspection service(timed service,high mileage)
in10=10k/annual service(low mileage)
in20=20k/annual service(low mileage)
this is dependant on what service regime was set during the pre delivery check,you cannot reset it once set.

My 1998 volkswagen polo indicates ''service INSP'', what could be the posible reason? the mileage is 90070

G'day mate well the best it would seem is to ask the dealer may be for the timing belt or catalytic converter (exhaust ) the car a complex piece of machinery and needs attention from time to time
