Check fuse 22 in the fuse box under the hood. Then check fuse 19 in the fuse box inside the vehicle under the dash on the driver side. If those are good I would suspect an open in the seat circuit from the module to the seat cushion. This circuit has a signal return which tells the module that the seat is active or not. If the circuit is not complete it will shut off the seat and the light to avoid overheating of the seat and possible damage. good luck

06 ford 500 heated seat does not work fuses okdriver side

The problem is very likely a faulty seat heater grid. the seat heater is just like the grid in an electric blanket, the driver side gets the most use and is the first to fail. Since this is a fairly expensive repair you will need to confirm the grid heater is the problem and not the timer switch. This requires a skilled Ford tech to diagnose the system and the dealer is the best place to have this diagnosed.

Driver side seat heater light comes on and goes right out seat wont heat up passenger side works fine

The problem lies in the drivers side seat, the heating element for the back of the seat or the seat heating element has an open or shorted circuit. the part from ford will run you about $150.00 dollars.

Heated Drivers Seat Ford 500 2006 will not work.

It is usually one of two problems. Either the relay under the seat has failed or the heat element in the seat has failed.

If you are not electrically challenged, you can use a simple volt-ohm meter and check for continuity in the heat element. If you have continuity, the element is good, otherwise that's your problem.

If the heat element is good, you may want to take the good relay from under the passenger seat and put it on the driver's side to see if that fixes it. If so, then you have to get a new relay.

Last, but very unlikely, would be a bad switch.

Heated seat

Could be that the wiring for the heater is broken, or that the heating element itself has been damaged. Has anyone knelt on the seat when reaching in to get something out of the car? Or has anyone stood on it (a child maybe)? Pressure like that can break the heaters and keep them from firing up.
