Thank you for your solution, however it is not a throttle body.

I change the spark plugs from denso to ngk and the ticking stop. The hesitation reduce but not gone completely.

I ensure that the oil is at the mark where it suppose to be. I went to a carburetor specialist and a mechanic. They troubleshoot for an entire day the end result is they disconnect one of the air hose that connects to the base of the car to a valve thing on top that connects to the air intake. It stop the ticking and hesitation but the throttle is still not steddy they said they were unable to pinpoint the exact thing in the carb but it is carb that is causing the problem. One other thing when they remove the air intake and cover the top of the car it throttles perfect.

Their suggestion is that i get a new carburetor. toyota 2y carburetor.

Try to adjust the valve, or the valve is not fit yet to the valve seat, may be the compression of the engine is leak at the valve thats why you always heard.

Is it a throttle body style carb ??
If so take out the injector part and clean it with some carb cleaner . take a 9volt battery and hook up to the injector and pulse it and bunch of tmes , another words hook it up then unplug then repeat.

SOURCE: 2001 Toyota corolla hesitates on acceleration

Basically this means that an oxygen sensor in bank 1 detected a lean condition (too much oxygen in the exhaust).

SOURCE: engine hesitating during acceleration

Ok, there are many issues here that you will need to inspect. I recommend changing the fuel filter and pump as well. this will fix the hesitation. the intake and exhaust manifold gaskets will need to be replaced as well. this will stop the backfiring.

I also recommend checking and running a teat on the PCV valve and inspect the PCV hose as well. it could have a leak or a small crack on it.

Check the air filter and change if needed. this will help with acceleration issues as well. Next, i would run a check on all plugs and the complete wire set as well. change if needed.

Inspect the injectors for leaks and lose wires. make sure they are in good condition. replace any injectors that isn't firing properly.

Ok, there are some sensors that you will need to check as well. i will list them below.

SENSOR CHECK LIST--

1. Check the O2 sensors for worn wires.
2. Check the MAFS(Mas Air Flow Sensors) Check for Damaged, Loose, or Faulty Mass Air Flow Sensor or Circuit.
3. Check the Air Cleaner Temperature Sensor. this sensor could be damaged ro have loose wires. check accordingly.
4. Check the Throttle Position Sensor. this device could be connected wrong or it may be faulty as well. replace if needed.

Be sure and inspect all the above and repair any problem spot you ruin across during your inspection.

Please rate and god bless:)

When I start the engine four warning lights do not go out. They are the water level, the alternator, the timing belt and engine oil level.

one of these?
1.8 L 2Y-U I4
2.4 L 22R-E I4
3.0 L 3VZ-E V6
2.4 L 2L diesel I4
2.8 L 3L diesel I4

some countries ran carbs then.
which engine,
is it fuel injected , EFI? (-E is EF)

now the Generic answer.
1: low compression on all or 1 cylinders.
2: bad spark or timed wrong, (gas engines)
3: wrong fuel rates, (too much or too little)
too much is misfire, too little is bog.
on diesel too much is black cloud.
too little bogs.
there is a simple test for each, path.

If sound comes from under the dash, it might be an hvac actuator that is having a problem? Sometimes you can put your hand on it and feel the vibration? Sometimes with a relay, you can do the same thing.

1997 F-250 won't start.

I assume you have enough gass.

What are the sounds you are hearing.
Does it tick or make the common sound before it starts the engine.

If it ticks and doesn't make the common sound it's plausible you have a problem with your "start engine" (don''t know the english term) or a problem with a fuse.

If it makes the common sound but doesn't start, check all the cables if its fitted. See if the filters are clean (especially the fuel filter).

Hi i have a toyota hilux 1992 model. Its done 194,000 km's and when i start it it has a ticking sound, to me it sounds like the timing chain. I was wondering how much a new timing chain would cost.

you should replace it as an assembly whichh includes all hte tensioners and the chain guide ans some seals you can get it as a set aprox cost on the parts will run around 280 and labor around 4.5 hours to do hte job.
