SOURCE: 2000 kia sportage ex, 4 cyl.

Yes there is a sensor that controls Fuel/air ratio. It's called a MAF (mass air flow sensor)
But I think you should have the EGR (Exhaust gas recirculation)valve checked
and The TPS (throttle position sensor)maybe dirty.

Although may things can cause this issue,I would look at the items above first.

Please rate this a blue fixya

SOURCE: 2000 Sportage: where is the spark plugs located on a 2000 Kia Sp...

They are under the black plastic cover that is in the middle of your valve cover gasket. Remove the intake hose from the aluminum intake plenum on top of the valve cover and the silencer box against the firewall. Remove all the connectors from the sensors which should be 2 on the plenum and the 2 large vacuum hoses on the plenum. Then remove the 3 12mm bolts from the plenum at the throttle body and remove the plenum. You can reuse the throttle body gasket at the plenum so don't destroy it. All the other bolts are 10mm and use a screwdriver to loosen the clamps on the hose. The sensors have clips that you need to remove with a small screwdriver, then disconnect them. Remove the bolts on the cover and the cover. Then remove the bolts holding the coil packs down. Do one plug at a time. 2 of them are connected to the 2 plug wires and 2 are underneath the 2 coil packs. The connectors on the coil packs are fragile so remove them carefully. Reverse the steps to reinstall the plenum, etc.

2000 Sportage kia automatic start when cold car runs get warm turn off car will not restart till car cools down. What could it be??

Check that the starter is getting voltage from the starter relay activated by the remote start module while it's warm, if not, either the module is not signaling the relay to click on, or the relay or module has a bad ground when the car is warm.

How do I remove the starter on a 2000 Kia Sportage with 4WD?

It has three bolts that need to be removed. There is a support bar attached to the engine block and bottom of intake manifold. Remove this and the starter will drop down.
