What are the probable causes of DTC P1297?

Fault code P1297 may be set if the car is driven under load or revved up and then returned to idle. Fuel mixtures may go lean as well. If these symptoms occur, check the pressure relief valve in the crankcase breather system. If the valve is NOT moving freely, you found the problem. Replace it.

1996 dodge caravan 2.4 code p1294

on dodge motors
fitted a lot of parts and still no better

the fault code clears and comes back as a intermittent problem

could be electrical voltage drop off or heat related failure

i wonder if your 02 sensor ,the catalytic converter
or other related sensors
are causing the fault to come back
if needed .....fit a new air filter...

how the test is determined

P1294-TARGET IDLE NOT REACHED 3.3L/3.8L
When Monitored and Set Condition:
P1294-TARGET IDLE NOT REACHED 3.3L/3.8L
When Monitored: With the engine idling and the transmission in drive, if automatic.
There must not be a MAP sensor trouble code or a Throttle Position Sensor trouble code.
Set Condition: The engine idle is not within 200 rpm above or 100 rpm below the target
idle for 40 seconds. One trip fault.

Ok I?m getting a p1297 code and then I?ll start getting po301 If I erase the codes then start the car and let it idle ill get the po300 po301 po302 po303 Then drive the car ill get the p1297 If I erase...

Clean the EGR valve seat. The EGR may have become stuck. A good way to check for vacuum leaks is to use smoke near every intake vacuun hose . And near the intake manifold. The valve will **** in the smoke. If you clean the EGR valve and it still misses. Replace it. The EGR can cause random misfire.

Target Idle Not Reached (Chrysler, Jeep)i am getting a dash display code of p1294. how do i find the problem? I did find a vacuum line broke and fixed but the error came back!

The code P1294 means that the computer is setting a target for the engine to idle at and the engine cannot do it therefore setting the DTC. Solution start by checking or replacing the sparkplugs. Also remove the idler motor from the throttle body and spray it out with carb cleaner. Also spray out the passages in the throttle body that the idle motor use. If that does not fix it you could have another problem like a bad idle motor or something relating to that circuit. Did you replace the TB or make an adjustment to the TPS?

A4 1.8 02 plate - fault code p01297 - runnung poor

Code P1297(Connection turbocharger - throttle valve pressure hose) is related to air delivery to the engine. Unfortunately there is many components that could caused this code. For 1.8 engine the most common places to look for:
Check for damaged vacuum lines, next check over-bust valve(located in the intake hose) if holding vacuum, than I would check intake hose itself for damage or leaks. Some times broken throttle body can cause that fault (idle fluctuation). Lastly if car lack of power- damaged turbocharger can cause insufficient intake pressure.
