SOURCE: timing marks on engine

Use the timing marks on the damper for the crank and bring it to 0 on the cam there are marks that correspond with a mark on the head. Look on autozone dot com and put in the year make and model then look at the free repair guides.

The performance on an 2011 opel insignia has gone from 5,5 ltr per 100km to 6.3 per 100 km ... recent service oil change filter change ... even blew out the particle filter... any solutions

Best would be to add a air/fuel meter and see what's going on. O2 sensors, coolant temp sensor, degraded plug/wires, different oil, right foot got heavier.

I changed my timing belt on my 2002 1.6 ecotec opel astra cde. i got the timing belt marks wrong . how must the cam pulley marks be when i got the crank on tdc please.

remove the rocker cover and look on the ends of the cams ,their are slots and they align with the head ,i use my old spanner from my angle grinder its just about the right thickness ,lower pistons to the middle then set the cams ,make sure no1 the valves point up and outwards like a V victory sign then bring the no1 piston up to TDC ,i take the plug out and use a long thin screwdriver for this .then put the belt on

My opel corsa1999 model 1.6 cant rev up

Maybe the exhaust is plugged or the timing belt jumped a notch. To test the exhaust, unscrew the upstream O2 sensor. It should rev better if the exhaust is clogged. If no difference, then maybe the throttle position sensor isn't working. I guess the first thing you should do is plug in an OBDII tester to see if there is any codes. (not sure on european models) Possibly bad gas or diesel in the tank?

How to replace a timing belt on Opel Kadett 97 Model?

Hi Donald,
I am actually having my cam belt changed today, I had to take my 200is to my mechanic as i am scared of messing up with the timing setting or bending valves as it happens with most motors. All I know is that you have to untire on of your side engine mounting, remove your waterpump system as it blocks the way, remove you timing covers, pullies and tensioners while making sure that your timing position doesn't move. They say its best to replace you cambelt together with your timing tensioners as older ones gives your belt a short lifespan.

Sorry I coun't help accurately.
