May be it is oil pump, or oil gauge, removed your valve cover, start the engine you can see oil coming out from rocker arm, if there is no oil try to replace oil filter, if not again oil pump is the cause. replace oil pump.

Remove the distributor by removing the two mounting bolts to the timing cover. This will keep your ignition timing intact. Fit the oil pump and drive spindle together and install so that when you look down on top of them the spindle is aligned like below.

I pulled my distributor out of my 2001 chevy Silverado with a 4.3 after putting it back in my oil pressure gauge not reading the oil pressure what could be my problem

Assuming everything is ok with the pressure sensor and wiring, its possible you dropped the connector rod between the distributor and the oil pump down into the oil pan.

Not with the right tools by the Oil Pressure Sending unit (AKA OPS) tool that will fit in there you may have to contort your body a little.

Cant find my oil pressure switch on my 2003 chevy express

you'll need to remove the doghouse, the cover over the engine in the passenger compartment. Sometimes you have to remove one of the front seats to get it out.

The oil pressure switch/sending unit will be just to the drivers side of the distributor.
