Abs light stay on fault code c146e

I recently tried the DIY service and repair manuals from a website and it actually helped me repair transmission problem in my jcb 3cx site-master. It would'nt move forward or reverse, engine was good both solenoids for forward and reverse worked, but still couldn't diagnose the problem.

I don't have much technical knowledge but I just followed it step-wise, and now it works perfect! covers wiring, codes, diagrams, torque specs, PCV, everything

The ABS is a complex system, and Camrys are fitted with ABS from one of at least 3 manufacturers (Denso, Bosch etc). When a fault is detected, such as a failed speed sensor, the ABS computer stores a trouble code and disables the ABS. You should get this code read out as a first step to finding the problem. Whenever this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM, SRS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)

Sound like a problem with the ABS system or Wheel Speed sensor; you will need to scanned the computer to know exactly what fault code is stored there.

Hi there,

Your ABS light will remain illuminated if your vehicle's PCM has detected an abnormality or fault condition within your ABS circuit.

You will need to have your local Toyota dealership (or approved agent) scan your vehicle computer for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC). The codes will identify the suspected circuit/component.

Chances are, one of your wheel sensors may be either dirty, or has failed. There could also be an issue with any of the brake components, or even the ABS computer itself.

They are not the sensors you want. The car uses the abs wheel sensors for vehicle speed. Your problem lies in the abs system , possibly the left front sensor, abs ecu or speedo cluster, Clear the code and see if it stay out otherwise you'll need to go to a trusted technician. .
