So air-con is fine? Oil level is ok now then can i just change the oil pressure sensor alone without reseting the computer? The local singapore chrysler workshop quoted me to change the entire PCM for a whopping S$1350. Does resetting the computer require me to change the entire PCM?

Any time you change a sensor you have to reset the computer so the computer can set the perimerters for that sensor in otherwords the computer will not reconize it as a new sensor so it will run the same. You can reset the computer by disconnecting the ground cable on thr battery for 30 seconds then re-install.Resetting the computer does not require you to buy a new one.

Is it possible that the car key is not synchronised with the PCM that contribute to the current problem? This is what the chrysler workshop sales person told and that's why he suggested to hae the entire PCM changed and to synchronised with the current car key. But I am puzzled, as mentioned before, the dashboard shows PO522 or at times "donE" followed by the millege... or even don't even show anything at all when I couldn't start the engine. So have this got anything to do with the PCM at all or not?I had just changed the entire battery 3 weeks ago as per their recommendation but still I ahve this problem. Please help thanks in advance.

First the code P0522 is a oil pressure sensor circuit so i would check the oil level then if its ok i would replace the oil pressure sensor and reset the computer and see if the problem still exists.and go from there.

SOURCE: Blower malfunctioning in 2004 Chrysler

It sounds like vacuum is not getting to the vent, heat and A/C controls. Find the vacuum can. It may be under the hood on one of the inner fenders. The "one-way" check valve is usually located in the line and close to the can, make sure it works properly. The valve could be the very thing that's causing the problem. Trace the lines back to the vacuum block at the intake manifold or fire-wall, and also back to where the line goes thru the fire-wall. Check the can for leaks or obvious holes. They used to be just a plain metal can, but it could be a plastic ball. Check the lines as you go, for breaks and rub-thru's. Move the controls thru all settings and listen for vent door movement. Worst case is a bad vacuum motor or air flow position selector switch, and/or a faulty Blend Door Actuator. If you have been driving around with the Temperature knob or control set at the same spot for months, move it from fully cold to fully hot several times and wait for the air temperature to change each time. This will help reset the blend door and vacuum control system. Hope this helps... Let me know what you find.

SOURCE: engine cranks, but doesn't start

if you just filled it with gas it may be your fuel pump. believe it or not when you fill the tank sometimes the pump goes. turn the ignition to ON without cranking it and with all accesories off. Listen for a whir or humm sound-if you dont hear the sound your pump is not working.

1998 Chevrolet C3500 dies randomly when driving down the road - uphill, downhill or flat surfaces. Typically doesn't happen when it's cold. Sometimes it starts back up and sometimes it doesn't....

U have an intermittent electrical connection causing the hassle. Check and clean all wiring junctions, etc. Also work the connections by sliding them in and out many times to remove any oxidation. U have to remember that a car's electrical system is low voltage and the slightest bit of corrosion can screw things up - example is dirty battery terminal wires with a new battery. Car will not crank but clean the terminals and away you go!!!!!!!!!!!!

Won't start sometimes

If the engine cranks over but it wont fire, it could be an ignition circuit problem, plugs, wires, ignition module and the like. Often, a tune-up or a little regular maintenance may help that.
If the engine doesn't crank over when you try to start it, it could be a poor performing starter solenoid-as they get older, the contact points inside the solenoid become worn and pitted, ending good electrical contact. In this case, a new starter solenoid is called for. Good luck.

2000 Dodge neon starts and runs fine. But sometimes does want to start Engine cranks, but won't start

How many miles on the car? Have you checked the fuel pressure when it doesn't want to start? Do that first and then move on from there. To quickly test fuel pressure with no special equip get a can of starting fluid from the auto parts store, when it fails to start spray the fluid into the air intake of the engine well it is cranking, if it fires up then the fuel pump is likely not running on for some reason. This can be electrical in nature or just a failed electric fuel pump

I have a 2006 is250 lexus push button start and it only starts, lights, nav everything works but it won't crank....takes 3-4 times before it cranks and it doesn't happen eve

The first thing you want to check for is the brake signal, without this signal it will not crank, this is the easy one make sure you get brake light, the second is to have the starter tested by a direct method, this gives the indication of the health of the starter

Will stall while idling in drive and not restart right away. Jeep will seem to turn over, and RPMs rev up, then the engine dies.

no its more than likely not related to the trans,if you are having shift problems though,i would have the tps(throttle position sensor) checked out.another thing to check is the vacume lines to and from the egr valve and the valve its self for proper operation.

My car wont start the battery is fine dont know what the problem is please help

IF the car cranks over but doesn't start you need to see if you have Spark and Fuel. IF it doesn't crank, check starter and related circuit, tapping on starter will sometimes help to get it rotating. Check all fuses, and make sure battery terminals are clean and tight. Have someone or yourself connect a scanner DTC reader and see if you have any engine computer faults. If manual transmission make sure your clutch pedal switch is not missing the bushing. Aftermarket alarms can cause no starts also, but usually a "no-crank" situation.
