SOURCE: 2001 Hyundai Sonata headlights reversed

First thing to do is confirm that the low beams are actually on when they are supposed to be, and the same for the high. If they are, it is possible that some time in the past an owner simply reversed the bulb assemblies when they removed them to do a bulb replacement. My son's 2001 Sonata uses the same bulb for both high and low beams. It is possible to put them back reversed if you take them both out at the same time. Just try removing the upper bulb assembly and installing it the lower position and put the one that was in the lower position in the upper. If what you say is true, just reversing the bulbs assemblies should solve your problem providing your sonata model is the same as my son's.

SOURCE: Which Fuse is the Fuse For the Headlights on a 2005 Sonata???

Look on the inside of the panel you removed to access the fuses. There should be a diagram with the fuses and what they control. Very similar to a fuse box in a home. Once you see the fuse you think is for the headlights, pull it, then check in the middle. There is a thin piece of wire (here's a picture: allowing for a connection to be created. If that piece of metal is separated (it will usually be obvious) you've got the right fuse.

Also, if you're having trouble pulling the fuse, you can pick up a device for a few bucks at any auto parts store that helps dramatically, like this one:

My 1999 hyundai sonata's headlights will NOT work high or low beams???

As you can see from the illistration/wiring diagram, other than the actual wiring, there are two fuses (one for left & the other for right), two relays one for Low beam & one for High beam), and finally the multi-function switch which must be working to provide a ground for the relays (High & Low Beams). You can Go to and register your vehicle by VIN #.. you'll then have access to wiring diagrams, shop manuals, service bulletins, campaigns, illustrations and procedures, etc.

Both headlights stopped working on my 2005 santa fe highbeams work fine where do i begin troubleshooting problems?

First check the 15 amp H/LP (LOW) fuse in the engine compartment relay box. If good, try switching the high beam relay (same box as the fuse) with the low beam relay. If that gets your low beams to work, you need a relay. Please let me know if this doesn't work or if you have any questions.

No low beams bulbs are ok fuses look good

There may be a relay that operates the low beam lights, check the owners manual to see if there is a relay, you should be able to hear it go "click" if there is one.

2000 Sonata has no low beam headlights and dash light is not working

Start by checking your fuses. Use your manual or the door to the fuses is normally labeled with what each fuse goes too.
