My name is Luis and I'm trying to remove a driveshaft away frome a transfer case frome a Hummer H2 but I can't remove it please advise what I near to do


undo the 4 bolts holding the drive line shaft to the flange of the transfer case . some flanges will be stuck on a small spigot turning and you may have to use a hammer and a chisel on the join to get it to fall apart. If there is resistance to the shaft sliding on the slip joint then you may have to lever the flanges apart.

How do you remove the front drive shaft in a 1995 jeep grand cherokee limited


Use white paint, chalk or a scribe to mark the relationship of the front U joint to the front diferential pinion yoke. Mark the relationship of the rear U joint flange to the transfer case companion flange. Unbolt the front end of the drive shaft from the pinion yoke and the rear end from the transfer case companion flange and remove the drive shaft from the vehicle.

  1. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  2. Mark the position of the driveshaft yoke on the axle companion flange so they can be reassembled in the same way to maintain balance.
  3. Remove the flange bolts and disconnect the driveshaft from the axle companion flange.
  4. Allow the rear of the driveshaft to drop down slightly.
  5. Pull the driveshaft and slip yoke rearward until the yoke just clears the transmission extension housing seal. Mark the position of the slip yoke in relation to the transmission output shaft, then remove the driveshaft.
  6. Plug the transmission to prevent fluid leakage. To install:
  7. Lubricate the yoke splines with suitable grease.
  8. Remove the plug from the transmission and inspect the extension housing seal; replace if necessary.
  9. Align the slip yoke and output shaft with the marks made at removal and install the yoke into the transmission extension housing. Be careful not to bottom the slip yoke hard against the transmission seal.
  10. Rotate the axle flange, as necessary, to align the marks made during removal.
  11. Install the driveshaft yoke to the axle flange. Install the bolts and tighten to 71–95 ft. lbs. (95–130 Nm).
  12. Lower the vehicle.

from what you said, it sounds like the converter on the transmission may have broken, Since it's loosing oil, it shouldn't be difficult to determine which part is leaking.
Check the transmission and transfer case fluid. Whichever is low is the unit with the problem. To verify, re-fill it and put a pan under there and start it up and look. You mentioned the yoke and spline. If either have broken you need to determine why, then replace whatever is necessary. If the splined shaft that the yoke is attached to has broken then the transfer case will need to come apart as it is part of the larger internal assembly. (may be easier for you to just get a different unit from a scrapyard.)

buy manual, removal:  raise vehicle and place on jack stands remove skid-plate, mark relationship of driveshaft to the front diff flange and the transfer case flange, remove the bolts and straps from diff flange and trans case flange, push the rear half of the driveshaft forward far enough to separate it from the transfer case flange, then lower it and separate it at the diff flange. installation: attach the front end of the driveshaft to the front diff flange and install the straps and bolts finger tight, extend or compress the driveshaft as necessary , attach the rear end to the transfer case flange, install the straps and bolts and tighten all bolts to 59 ft #'s , install skid plates, and lower vehicle

2001 Jeep Wrangler 4" suspension lift


Jeep's transfer case output is poor for lifts over 2-3 inches. A transfer case drop should have come with your 4 inch lift, but if not you should be able to purchase it from quadratec.com or 4wd.com. You shouldn't drop it much more than an inch, since engine will be rotated into your firewall, besides, transfer case drop reduces ground clearance. The spacers go between your frame and you transfer case skid plate. A transfer case shift linkage bracket is also required to maintain its alignment. Then if it starts making noise, the dealer has a TSB parts kit to fix that. A better solution is a Slip Yoke Eliminator and extended rear driveshaft, but you'd be looking at about $450 and a days worth of work. Good luck.

If this is a 4X4 then the problem is most likely the slip yoke not sliding smoothly on the transfer case output shaft splines. You can correct this bt lubricating the slip yoke splines with Teflon Grease .
If it is a 4X2 then lube the output shaft splines on the back of trans.
