I know I know!, Use a little squirt of WD 40 and they will be super easy to pry out. I did the drivers side mirror myself, so let me tell you the biggest problem. Maybe you can figure it out. I couldn't.. OK, so you have new mirror wiring hooked up and then you find that the metal stripping on the outside of door, is stopping it from being seated down in the proper spot. I found only one screw at the end but it obviously has clips somewhere that I was not finding. I wasn't about to dent the cheap thing trying to get it off. There is a pro and con to the matter. You actually can still get door back together with mirror looking like it is on correctly. But...being that it sits about 1/2 higher than where it should, it blocks your vision from, people crossing in a sidewalk from your right, island curbs when you are taking left turns, and well, thats enough. Mine has been that way now for a year and I have to really lean up and over the mirror and steering wheel, to be sure it's clear, at those times. What's funny is that I just tapped my passenger mirror on a garbage can that was left a bit out in road on our narrow street. Not a scratch on it but get popped the mirror out, breaking all the clips and stuff that hold it in there. Had to order another and haven't a clue how I am going to pay for installation. Wouldn't want both too high. Maybe they will do a two for one!

Installing replacement side mirror on 2007 Subaru Forester

yes... you'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you can access the bolts holding the mirror on and disconnect the wiring harness as well..

I need to replace the 99 buick century side mirror

There is a small plastic piece (triangular shape) at the top of the door panel, opposite of the mirror. It is held in place by a plastic clip. You can gently pop that out, with a flat blade screwdriver or something similar. That will expose 3 bolts with nuts on them. On my 2000 Century, they are 10 mm. Take off those three nuts, and the mirror will come off.

How do I remove the front door panel to replace the mirror

Normal 0 Disconnect your negative battery cable. Locate and remove the screws that hold your interior door handles in place (they may be hidden by snap in, or snap on clips). Remove the interior door handles, then disconnect the wire clips to the switches. Your panel is held in place by snap in clips; use a small pry bar to pull them from the door (try to get as close to, or directly under the clips to prevent them from tearing out of the door panel). Once the clips are pulled, pull the panel upward to remove it from the door.
Install in reverse.

If you don't have power windows you will have to remove the manual window crank. It is held in place by a clip on the back side of the base. To remove the clip, you will need a small hook (kind of like a knitting needle). Put the hook in behind the base, and grab the clip and pull it off. To replace it, slide the clip back on the window crank, and snap it back on the door.

Removing interior door panal w/o breaking it

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door

How to replace the driver side mirror on a 1999 volvo S80

do you mean the glass or the entire mirror?

If it's the entire mirror then remove the door panel by popping off the interior pull handle cover. If you get down and look at the bottom of the rectangular pull handle you will see a seam. Pry the cover off with a small screw driver. Remove the two torx bit screws behind the cover. there is also a cover in the door handle pull pocket. Just pry up the cover and It will have a T25 torx bit under it.
Next around the door there are several push pin clips, push in on the center of the pin and pull the clip out.

Lastly the trim ring around the interior handle.. honestly you can use a 90 degree pick to pry it off, but usually I just pull up on the door panel until it pops off. ie. pull the bottom of the panel up towards the inside of the car.

That should be all the clips and screws, now pull straight up while holding the bottom of the panel out a little to clear the panel from the interior handle. you'll see that the top of the panel rides in the rubber seal on the door frame, it will be somewhat hard to separate, so don't break the panel.

Now the switches can be disconnected or just let the panel hang.

Now you'll see a 13mm nut that holds the mirror on and one electrical connector. remove and pull the mirror housing off. Reassemble in reverse order.

If it is just the glass then you just did a whole lot of reading for nothing.....
If it's just the glass don't do any of the above, Just push the glass in at the inside edge, like your adjusting the mirror to look back into the car. Push your fingers behind the glass and pull the glass sideways toward the outside of the car and back. it should pop off without to much effort. Now the motor will ratchet outwards when you pull the glass and the rear edge will release.

Place the new glass on the motor and reverse the procedure to reinstall.

Mount the inside edge first and push the glass down on the inside edge. now pull the glass out and sideways while pressing it onto the motor.

With any luck I've explained it in a way that makes sense.

I need to replace passenger side mirror on 97 ford expedition

Both above answers are not right... I just replaced the Pass side power mirror assembly on my 97 Expedition. No heat, no directional.
The inside door panel must come off.
1. pry off interior triangular plastic trim piece inside of door at mirror area. Remove door panel screw at this area.
2. Pry off power window switch panel and remove door panel screw at this area.
3.Remove interior door light cover and remove screw at this area.
4. Remove plastic cover at door handle.
5. The interior door panel can now be lifted up to release it from it's fasteners.
6. Disconnect light and push power window switch assembly through the door panel and it can be set aside.
7. Disconnect mirror power at coupler.
8 Loosen three mirror mounting screws with 7/16 socket. DO NOT unscrew completely.. the will fall down the door cavity. Use a round magnet on holder to remove the screws completely.
9.Thread electrical connection into door panel and install mirror.
10. Smile when mirror works and drink a beer!
