Did you try changing cam sensor Had 1995 2500 GMC did the same thing also when you change a cam sensor you should change crank postioning sensor because that will be next thing to go I learned the hard way.

SOURCE: I have a 95 S-10

Check sprk plugs & wires for fouling, cracking, etc. Before heading in for the $$$$ overhaul, buy 2 cans of "Seafoam", 1 in gas tank with 5 gals gas( will treat up to 20/25 gls), 1 in crankcase. This is a GREAT product that for less than $20 may hold you over for awhile if indeed you have to tear into internal engine.

SOURCE: fast idle after warm up .already changed IAC valve

fast idle is many times caused by a engine intake vacuum leak, use a can of carb spray and spray the top of the engine for leaks, if u hit one u will hear the eng change idle speed, also look for split or leaking vacuum hoses.

SOURCE: Runs fine till warms up then losses power and dies

My 05 silverado 5.3v8 was stalling dead when it reach a temp of 170-200 degrees and wont start until cold and do the same thing till warm. I changed fuel pump, crank sensor, bought a cam sensor also.  It turned out to be a disconnected single ground wire that runs under the power steering and connects to main ground on bottom front. Now engine runs fine. I changed power steering a couple of times and must have wore it loose.

SOURCE: Took off TPS? to clean up. Replaced with new

could have damaged the tps. if the tps shorts out and shows like its full throttle, it goes into clear flood mode and shuts down the injectors. try unplugging the tps and try to start. it it starts, replace the tps.

84 Corvette crossfire engine stalls out when running and trouble restating after stalling out...fuel pump replaced five times along with fuel filter and fuel pump sitting since 2008 and...

Yea , those crossfire injection vettes can be a bear sometimes . I had dealings with them 84-85 - 86 working as a tech at a chevy dealer . Don't remember much about them , haven't heard anything about them for long time .

How's the fuel pressure ? Have you put a fuel gauge on it ? I would imagine you don't have a Tech 1 scan tool ? What's the map sensor voltage at idle ?

My gmc 4.3 stalls when warm and wont start without ether. then it runs fine

I had the exact problem with my 1993 chevy c1500. I found that the IAC was sticking so the engine would die at idle after warming up and the ignition module was pulsing the ECM intermittently after the engine warmed up so the fuel pump wasn't being turned on after the engine died....I replaced the ignition module and the IAC valve and all is good. I don't know if testing the ignition module reveals that it isn't sending pulses to the ECM.

yep fuel pump failing too weak or fuel filter stopped up, fuel system too lean for engine run higher speed need more fuel.

Car starts running rough at idle, eventually quits running. Has new plugs, wires, cap, fuel pump, fuel filter, air filter, IAC Valve, and gas cap.

Back then, Honda suggested timing belt replacement every 60,000 miles. If your Honda has that much mileage or more and has never had the belt replaced, now may be the time.

try turning the ignition on,, let it sit for 30 seconds ,, switch it off and then start ,,,

if it works then your fuel pump is sending too low pressure,, change the pump...

if not then change the IAC valve and the oxygen sensor and the engine coolant temperature sensor..

2002 Santa Fe 2.7 V6 (California Car) 260,000 + miles. Engine idle will increase to about 1500 RPM and drop back to normal without notice, at times difficult to start (must hold throttle about half open)...

I faulty Idle Air Control valve (IAC) can cause these specific symptoms. You could try diconnecting the IAC valve (usually near the throttle body) and regulating the idle yourself. If the fluctuations go away and you are able to hold a constant idle position with the gas pedal (if vehicle will start), the IAC is the problem.
