SOURCE: 2000 grand prix when starting
been reading on other sites they say you have to take off your wipers and the plastic gaurd underneith there you wiill find a peice of metal that is suppose to be at a 90 degree angle and over time it wheres down and bends to like a 45 so you just have to bend it back so it catches right and you will be good :)

The wiper motor is located under the plastic air intake at the base of the windshield on the driver's side of the vehicle. It is not too hard to get at and you will need to remove at least the lh wiper arm. It is very possible it is a linkage problem and not the motor (the arms pop off their sockets sometimes on these cars) Take the plastic cover off and you will see the arms and be able to tell if they are disconnected or not.

This could be one of an assortment of problems:
- bad washer pump
- blown fuse for washer pump
- clogged/loose washer hose
- loose/corroded electrical connection
- no fluid in reservoir
- clogged nozzle
- bad washer switch

The arm is stripped onto the stud its pressed into which is call a wiper transmission. That part mounts to eack ww blade then to the wiper motor. You need a new transmission and maybe a new wiper are as well
