the remote may have come un-synchronised. (Due to a heavy knock or interference from a radio transmitter source. Like someones speed radar detector, or when the battery went flat.)

Consult your dealer on the synchronising process. This is an involved process but easy enough to do yourself at home!

My 1990 3.0 petrol manual terrano was fine today, stopped off on way home and went to leave now it wont turn over, does nothing. battery is fine, all lights come on. wont jump start

Most cars have a heavy wire from the battery to the solenoid, on top of the starter. On the solenoid, there's a smaller wire that goes to the key. If the smaller wire fell off, you'd get the same symptoms. If the solenoid is bad, you may get that, too, though usually they click.

When the alarm sounds, turn the key to the RUN (NOT START) position, then OFF - do this 10 times rapidly.
Many alarms will turn off and allow the car to start with this method.

Hi there, Sounds like your battery may have a cell that's shorted they will charge but but wont stay charged I would have an auto parts store check it or pop the tops and check the electrolyte level.I know they say no maintenance you but can use a flat screwdriver to pop the covers.Fill with distilled water to cover the plates. If top of battery is cruddy it could mean the regulator is set to high(over charging) Baking soda mixed in water will clean terminals and they have a brush tool for the terminals and clamps.Be sure to were safety glasses and old clothes. Thank You for choosing FixYa.........Darryel

Nissan terrano pr50 4WD warning light starts flashing after about 80 km Auto trans 1995 year

Did this start happening, after tyres were rotated, or a new tyre was fitted? This will probably reset when the ignition is turned off and back on again, then start flashing after another 80km. This can be caused by the rolling diameter of the wheels being different, and the computer is picking up that a tyre is flat, or that the tyres are of different size designation or different levels of wear. This happened to me after rotating tyres, and would repeat every 40-50km, and went away, when i put the spare, back to being the spare.

Nissan terrano 1996 td27 charging issue. Not chargeing.. warning light fuctioning on start up yet not when batt runs down.alternator seems ok.Battery is fine. How to check ic regulator? maybe

Did you hear the one about the Terrano with a charging problem?
Just fix it by replacing the thermostat!
Seriously - check your temperature gauge does it take ages for the needle to barely get off cold? (and is the heater useless?)
The needle should get to just below half way in 2 or 3 minutes.
If the thermostat is stuck open, then the engine does not get up to temperature.
The glow plug control senses the engine temperature is cold, so the glow plugs stay on for an extended period of time (sometimes 10 to 15 minutes) - short trips particularly in winter, with more headlight driving - the alternator can't keep up with the current being drawn off and from time to time you will end up with a flat battery!
A thermostat is cheap, and easy to replace (three bolts and about a half litre of coolant - I pumped the coolant from the top of the radiator, and didn't spill a drop when the thermostat housing was removed).
Sure enough, as the engine temperature reached about 50C, the glow plugs turned off.
