Yes you do. Be careful of the plastic fuel supply line when you reinstall the assembly. The hose can kink, and you will not have fuel pressure.

Well id suggest firstly draining the tank of as much fuel as possible, for safety and weight. secondly the tank doesnt have to be fully dropped there is enough room to be able to replace the sensor therefor you can leave the filler neck and tubes connected. undo the tank supports on one side and gain access that way.
