Had the same problem and it was the distributor module gone bad, dying when it got hot. I changed the entire distributor.....was easier to change the entire unit rather than the parts inside.

My 300 started chugging slightly after about forty five miles , we reached our destination then about 5 hours later we left and within 15 miles it started again and this time it tried to die over and over ...


sounds like a bad ecm (computer) may have a solder joint that expands when it gets warm and does not make a good conection.if this is the problem it should run fine when cold (or first starterd)
