Question about 1991 Ford Ranger Supercab
Hs new fuel pump fuel filter plugs wires cap ronition module and ran great until I went to the store and wouldn't startback up. I got it home and got it started 1 more time it started off rough buth smoothed out after about a minute or so till I thought it might have fixed itself until I killed it and it never started again
If its getting spark its not the crank sensor

Hopefully, it is just the battery. Try and jump start it to see if that works. If you do jump it successfully, drive it immediately to your preferred auto parts store and have them install a new battery.
If that doesn't work, there could be an issue with one of the components of the ignition system (ignition coil, distributor, etc). A problem here could prevent enough energy being transferred to the spark plug to ignite the engine. If it isn't the battery, then you should have it towed in to a mechanic.

SOURCE: 1987 ford ranger 4cyl fuel
It doesn't floods out, the fuel pressure is too low: either you have fitted a pump that is too small or you have contaminants that are clogging the fuel lines.
Take out the fuel pump, make sure it's the correct one, take out the tank and wash it thoroughly, flush the fuel lines, test the fuel pressure regulator and replace it if you have any doubts and finally have the injectors professionally cleaned at a repair shop.

have diagnostic codes checked to see if you have a cam or crank sensor fault. make sure fuel pressure is at the required pressure, just testing to see if you have fuel at the valve is not enough. replace all spark plug wires. if you replaced two then all are just as old and even when they "look good" does not qualify as "they are good". Replace coil pack. start up drive away happy

Your alternator might be bad also, or the crank sensor

have a fuel injector service done, bottled injector cleaner does very little.
